Journaling Is The Secret Weapon To Reach Your Goals
Each year as we enter a new year, we’re all bombarded with all of the ideas around New Year resolutions and goal setting, etc.! Our good intentions kick in again but we have too many old resolutions collecting dust to have much hope this year will be different. I am here to tell you that there’s a secret to all of it!
It’s not found in setting the perfect goal; it’s also not found in buying just the right journal, planner, or notebook (although I have the perfect journal/planner right here 😂). I realized the difference is found in the systems I follow. I was able to create a daily journaling habit because the system it has provided continually drives me to the lifestyle I desire.
Creating goals for my life wasn’t the secret; creating systems to reach my goals was. Sounds simple right? It kind of is! ☺️
GRO Society is an online community that provides an opportunity to develop a journaling, planning, and growth foundation together.
Developing a journaling, planning and growth routine is the system that has propelled the lifestyle I now live that was simply a dream years ago.
My dream today is to be a part of helping you as you develop your dreams into reality. That’s why I launched GRO Society!
Why GRO Society?
Well, I searched for just the right wording to define society, and this one—I love. – Society – “a part of a community that is a unit distinguishable by particular aims or standards of living or conduct: a social circle or a group of social circles having a clearly marked identity.”
Man, do I need that at times. I found myself several years ago launching into a new in-between place in my life after altering just about every aspect of my daily activities. Maybe I had an identity crisis, I don’t know for sure, but it was time to figure it out! And no one was talking about facing seasons like the one I was in, so I felt alone on this new journey.
To be completely honest, I have felt alone in many stages of life.
I understand how it feels to believe you’re the only one in this particular situation, and I hate the idea of others feeling that way. It doesn’t have to be true, but it does take a little grit to push through and find others that can help and relate.
My first goal became to find someone who had walked this path before me. I needed to see what they had to say. I was looking for someone I could relate to and that I felt I could trust. Like the definition above, I wanted to be a part of a community that had like standards of living that we’re going after or had accomplished the aims I desired.
You can read more about my journey and the help I found that led me to create the Plan To GRO Journal here.
If you're here now because you're on a similar journey, welcome!
You may have noticed how much I talk about journaling and planning, and it’s something you’re interested in. Perhaps you’re also like me in that you have quite a collection of journals, calendars, planners, and notebooks, that you’ve purchased through the years. AND if you’re like I once was, your journals are still filled with randomly written on pages or with notes scribbled, but overall they are empty. It’s nearly impossible to find ‘where you’ve written what’ through the years.
In my search for help, I found others that shared how much journaling through their difficult seasons helped. So, I launched into a quest to create a daily journaling and planning routine. I now have around five years of neatly filed journals that I can access whenever I want and find what I need quickly.
It’s been a huge life-changing experience. It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it and gave me a grounding place to work through difficult seasons.
Since I created the Plan To GRO journal, I have had so many people tell me that they like the idea of journaling or planning but that they just aren’t a journaling person. I’ve also had those who bought the Plan To GRO journal and wanted to add journaling and planning into their daily lives, then simply added it to their collection on their shelves. I know how that feels! EEK, it’s so frustrating!
Here’s something exciting however—I have personally gone from a journal “collector” to having years of journaling, planning, and dream building success.
You may not consistently journal right now, you may not be at the weight you want to be right now, you may not be able to keep up with all that is on your schedule right now, AND you may not know if you’re living for “what matters most” for you right now.
That’s why I created GRO Society! I don’t want you to feel hopeless or alone in this! It doesn’t have to be that way. You can learn to actually use your journals!
I’ve learned that with each new season when I feel so ill-equipped to navigate what’s before me, I don’t plan to settle or give up. I plan to grow! I believe this is you too I believe you know it too–you’re willing to do what it takes to ensure you are where you want to be one day! You plan to grow!
That’s what makes you and me perfect to be in community together! — A GRO Society!
I can show you how developing this daily journaling habit is foundational to building a lifestyle of continually obtaining the dream life you desire for yourself.
That’s a significant promise, I know. BUT changing your identity from ‘not really a journaling person’ to a ‘journal person’ really is the best place to start. –AND it doesn’t even have to be the Plan To GRO journal.
If I can help you see that it’s easier than you may believe and that you don’t have to do it alone, then it’s a win/win for both of us!
Let’s grow together – join the waitlist here so I can reach out to you for the next GRO Society session!
